Minnesota Timberwolves small forward Corey Brewer scored a career high 27 points in the Timberwolves 101-89 win over the Washington Wizards. It marked for the first time all season that the Timberwolves have won back-to-back games. I feel like we are a young team and we are just getting better game-by-game and hopefully we can keep it up all season," Brewer said. "I am starting to be aggressive. I moved to the two guard from small forward. Tonight was good and we know what we can do." Kevin Love posted his eleventh double-double in 13 games this season. Love, who was held out of the first 18 games with a broken bone in his hand. Love had 17 points and 10 rebounds in the win. Brewer finished the game nine of 16 from the field and converting eight of nine from the free throw line. He also finished with seven rebounds. Minnesota improves to 7-24 for the season and will play the San Antonio Spurs Tuesday night on the road. |
